            The main objective of the study is to analyse the human resource practices that are prevailing in the food and grocery industries. Moreover, the human resource planning that is required in the scenario of the company has been identified. The article also explores the human resource strategy that is implemented over the statistical approach of the food and grocery retailing. The method of "Factor Analysis" has been used in the article to analyse the various elements influencing the strategic human resources planning. The purpose of the study is to analyse the current human resource practices that are dominating over the retail food industry and conduct an empirical analysis of the various factor of HR. These factors include recruitment and selection of employees, training the employees, motivation constraints, evaluation and compensation. The methodology of the study is based upon the primary information collected through various case studies on the retail sector companies. Moreover, different interviews with the employees working in the organised food and grocery retail outlets also had provided useful information for the study. Through thirty-eight unique questionnaires and statements, the inquiry for the HR Practices of the respective companies had been implemented. The study reveals that the HR practices in the retail sector of the food and grocery industries are still in a rudimentary state. The study also implicates that the training programs need a lot of improvement. The source of motivation of the employees lacks proper establishment as most of them are self-motivated. Hence, the study concludes that the human resource planning in the grocery and organised food retail industry is still burgeoning and requires implementation of more strategic improvements.

            The article particularly focuses on the food and grocery sector of the industries and analyses their human resources planning process. This helps me gather data about the weaknesses of the HR planning and how it can affect the organisational productivity. From the study, I also come to know about the various constraints of a proper human resource planning and the various elements that influence the efficiency of the HR planning. Moreover, the statistical data I have gathered from the study would help me conduct a comparative analysis of the data from other retail sectors. This way I can effectively identify the factors that are needed to be taken care of, to bring efficiency in the strategic HR planning.

            The study in concern is a research-based study which has the primary focus to analyse the practices of human resource management and the perception of the employees. The primary objective of the study is to focus on the core of the human resource management activities that are implemented over some specific organised retail units. More precisely, the objectives that the paper follows are as below;

  • To identify the problems and limitations that arises at the time of implementation of the activities regarding the human resources.

The study involves the research findings and the suggestions in an analytical way. The data for the research of the study is collected through a questionnaire that has been structured specifically for the sample respondents. Along with the employees, the human resource managers of the companies were also included as the sample respondent. The secondary data for the study is collected from the annual reports of the firms, internet articles, magazines, news paper articles that are relevant to the activities of HRM in the organised retailing. The study concludes that there are significant differences in the human resource planning in different companies that were taken into consideration for analysis. Moreover, the findings of the research of the study show that the human resource management that is implemented in the retail sectors is not quite satisfactory for the employees for the company.

            From the study, I have to know that the various constraints that influence the company activities also impact the human resource management planning of the companies. However, from the study findings, it is also clear to me that the differences of the human resource planning can be very insignificant if the strategy gets positive feedback from the employees. Employees are the heart of the organisation and therefore, not only in the retail sector but in any sector the company should put the focus on the satisfaction of the employees. Aligning the company interests to a mutual benefit for both the company and employees through HRM planning is crucial for the firms in the retail sector.

            The present study analyses the human resource management practices that are implemented in the organised retail sector of India. The study focuses on the various issues that the companies face while implementing the various HRM practices. Along with the issue identification, the study also suggests necessary measures that can be taken to reduce these issues. The objectives of the study include the analysis of the current status of the retail industry of India. Another objective of the study is to study the Human resource challenges faced by the retailer and to identify the possible countermeasures. The research has been conducted through the data collection and analysis of the various case studies of different companies. The data collected from the case studies include the financial status, the productivity and the profitability status of the company. These data upon proper analysis reveals important data about the various HRM practices that are present in the companies. Upon several analyses, it can be found that some similar issues had been faced by every company more or less. These issues arise while attempting to implement the HRM strategies over the company. Moreover, the study conducts a comparative analysis between the organised and the unorganised retail companies to measure the difference between the issues. The study concludes that there are several issues that limit the proper implications of the HRM strategies. These issues include lack of skill in the employees, the presence of stress in the work-station, lack of formal training and education, poaching and threat and so on. These issues create a complicated human resource management environment. As a conclusive statement, the study refers that the HRM practices in the retail industry need greater attention in near future.

            From the study, I have learned about the various potential issues that might occur during the implementation of the human resource planning. Therefore, along with the development of an effective strategy for the human resource management, it is also crucial for retail sector companies to prepare for potential issues and threats. The finding made me conclude that the companies in the retail sector need to find the perfect talent that for the company to carry out activities. Along with human resource management, proper education and training must also be given to the employees. Last but not least, now and then if an employee receives attractive compensation package, it would not only motivate them but also reduce the issues significantly.
