Question 1

An outline for a summary review of your learning from placement to be shared in a group discussion during the last taught session

I have worked in a Mental Health and Rehabilitation hospitals and nursing homes and I have been procuring different types of services regarding health patients since 2009. Especially, I have worked there as a health assistant to the doctors, nurses, advocates and social workers. In the meantime, I have also studied the Health and Social care Level 3 course and I have also passed the examination or qualified with good scores. At the time of learning for placement, I have found that I have different learning styles, but the most effective is my verbal learning style. I have practiced the verbal learning style, which was proved to be one of the effective learning styles for me. It is because, I was in a process to deal with many patients and doctors for different cases those are related to disabilities and some mental illness of the patients.

I have observed that my learning style is like verbal processing, where I like to include different perspectives of speech and writing at the same time frame. In this section, I will discuss my learning style and with the help of two options, I will compare my results about how I will learn new materials within the shortest time frame. It has been declared that I like the verbal learning style and also spatial learning style in some important situations.

I want to deeply specify that verbal learning style is very important as it involves written and spoken words. There are some of the importance and advantages for the verbal learning style of communication because it is very easy at the time of expressing myself and in this method, I also tend to learn new materials and engulfing the thorough message, which is there in the new material in an instant manner[1]. I have observed that the verbal learning style of communication is very helpful for the candidates or participants those are fond of reading and writing different texts.

It can be observed that I will rank the verbal learning style of communication as the best among other seven learning styles and methods because it is best suited with the professionals and students while they are learning something in the class. It can be noted that the people those who are extrovert learn the verbal learning style of communication in the best manner. I think the verbal learning style of communication is much abstract than that of the visual representations and learners, and also more abstract while solving different types of equations at the same time frame. I have also faced many challenges when learning new materials. The eye-hand coordination, as well as the visual-spatial tasks, are also much energetic and in most of the time, I enjoy drama classes and speeches as well as written health and social cares[2]. It can be noted that there are also different learning classes and journalism aspects that are related to the verbal learning style of communication skills and competencies.

Critical reflection of your learning from past working experiences, and your experience of placement, indicating how these prepare you for the professional role you are aspiring to enter

In this section, I will describe the consequences that when I will give up the learning methodologies of the new skills and will again read the instructions. I have observed that it can be possible for me to learn the instructions again when the device or the system will not work. It is the basic nature of the human beings that they first read the functioning of the new telephones and iPads in the first term and then after it stops functioning, the safety and security information are twice learned. It is much easier than me to understand the whole scenario because I follow the verbal learning style of communication, where I understand how the device can be fixed in the shortest time frame.

I have previously stated that I follow the verbal learning style of communication, where I have found in a very easier manner to learn all the instructions and I do not have to look again at the instructions because of the verbal learning style of communication. It is because, I follow the verbal learning style of communication and in the easiest manner, I can memorize all the reading and writing phenomenon those are in front of me and also about the writing those are available in front of me.

With the help of the verbal learning style of communication, I have learnt the time management skills and communication skills as I transformed myself into an extrovert. It is one of the great calibres for me that I can talk to any unknown person, in my environment. It had been developed within me due to the constant practice of the verbal learning style of communication. I was one of the international students in my college and I religiously tried to be an extrovert in my college for getting good recognition and marks at the same time frame.

There are some of the key training and development needs of the employer because I have observed that they should need behavioural training because in some of the situations they behave in a rough manner. The behaviour in a rough manner is not expected from the senior management and employees within the organizational culture. It can be noted that it is much easy for verbal-linguistic learners to give immense training to the potential employee as well as to the employer for increasing productivity within the workplace.

I already have known about my communication skills and competencies those includes planning and organizing skills and competencies, but with the help of performance sheet of health and social care hospitals, I am very pleased to learn about other skills and competencies those are related to talking an initiative and analysing different criteria at the same time frame. It can be observed that I have also a greater valuation of analysing skills and competencies those are related to reacting flexibly and also functioning under pressure. On the other hand, there are some other soft skills those are noticing, checking, leading and networking as well as persevering at the same time frame It can be noted that communicating in the verbal manner and self-management and self-development skills are much important than have been showing in my performance sheet of health and social care hospitals. With the help of my performance sheet of health and social care hospitals, I have acknowledged the soft skills that will take me to the upper hierarchical designation within the organizational culture.

I have shown my qualifications and I need to check my work history and experiences where planning and organizing along with the communication in writing skills are very important and it should be practised at the due timeframe. As the human resource manager of the organization, the planning and organizing skills and competencies are very important and it needs to be practised by all the individuals who are in queue to get promoted

I was wondering to know about my leading capability or competencies, those have been produced by the performance sheet of health and social care hospitals and I religiously acknowledged my capabilities by answering few questions within the test. It can be noted that there are some of the characteristics within me that exert controls over me for deliberating over greater influences at the same period. I have answered the persuasive questions those are included within the curriculum and I can spontaneously take charge on the others and leaders. However, I have scored below average in this particular section. In this particular segment, I need to recover. Because according to my mind-set, it can be evaluated that I do not have the persuasive skills and competencies to get people and spontaneously do something. On the other hand, I have observed that people with a high score also possess some of the indicative qualities. It can be understood that there is some important piece of sections that are regarding reference groups. In some other manner, it can be understood by me that there are also some other groups of people, those who are having some natural authorities and intuitiveness.

There are some of the four additional skills and competencies, which my potential leaders or employers need to learn. According to me, my employers or the potential employees need to learn the behavioural skills and competencies and thereby they will be very profitable at the end of the financial year. It can be noted that behavioural skills, communication skills, time management skills and presentation skills are the skills and competencies those need to be learnt by the employers and potential employees for making more recruitments and also retaining employees in the organization.

I have some of the important skills and competencies that are marked in the performance sheet of health and social care hospitals. In the performance sheet of health and social care hospitals, I have observed that I have some exclusive skills those are planning and organizing, taking an instant initiative, communication skills and analysing at the same time frame. On the other hand, I have observed that my potential employers do not have some portions of skills apart from the analytical and reasoning skills for making all the employees just like a machine. The employers have just the skills and competencies those are very annoying and it cannot be tolerated because they do not understand the work-life balance of an employee. They only work to make different things possible in any such condition.

On the other hand, it can be noted that I am far ahead of the skills and competencies of the potential employers in the organizational culture because, according to the performance sheet of health and social care hospitals, I have some exquisite skills those are related to the development of future employees and new workers those have just stepped off in the organizational structure. According to the investigations described in the performance sheet of health and social care hospitals, it can be observed that planning and organizations, where the time management skills or planning phenomenon is much useful for every employee those are included within the core phenomenon. Each employee including me needs to learn the time management skills and competencies because the potential employers do not care about the pressure quantity of the employees working in the organization, but they forcibly make it done by some of the employees in the organization. Thus, all the employees need to develop the time management skills like me as reported in the performance sheet of health and social care hospitals.

On the other hand, the employees also need to report to the managerial desks and that is why they need to grow their communication skills and competencies. In this manner, I feel more privileged than I am being one of the mentors for the new candidates where they are learning different skills and competencies from me. On the other hand, taking up an initiative is also one of the important skills, which I have but my potential employers do not have those skills. They do not take any initiatives for the betterment of the organizational culture because they do not possess these skills. I have these skills and I help the management team to take important decisions in the structure for recruiting and retaining the employees for increasing the capacity of the workforce. As directed in the performance sheet of health and social care hospitals, I have also some other skills those are in a different category and I create different flexible opportunities for the new workers in the organization.

On the other hand, it can be noted that potential employees should have the patience and perseverance on the employees and they should give additional opportunities to the employees for improving their personal as well as professional skills at the same time frame. It can be noted that I have some emerging skills and competencies, where I give three times opportunities to the employees who are working in the lower level standard of the organizational structure. It can be encoded that the patience and perseverance skills and competencies are the pillars of the leadership skills that are present in the findings of the competency reports. It can be found that within the competency, I have not scored well in some of the important sections, but in the area where I scored well will help me changes the systems within the organizational culture and thereby will help me to progress within the organizational culture[8]. Moreover, I have also related the verbal or linguistic skills and competencies to the organizational culture because these are the important skills linkage, where an employee can be more refined and polished in case of fighting against workplace barriers and politics at the same time frame. It can be observed that these are the key differences between my skills and the competencies which other potential employees possess.

It is noted and understood by the employees that skills and competencies, as well as the organizational culture, is directly proportional to the expectations. It is noticed that the expectations between employers and employees are completely different. However, it has not been different because employers want the maximum profit within one year. On the other hand, I and my colleagues also want to achieve the work-life balance within the health and social care environment. Therefore, there is a sheer clash between the expectations of employers and employees. Apart from all the expectations of two entities, it can be ensured that all the employees in the workplace tend to deliver their best effort, but due to the lack of skills of the employers, we are not getting the actual workplace environment and that is also one of the core reasons because of the degradation of the skills and competencies and also the lowering of the productivity at the same period. The lowering of productivity is not accepted by the senior management staffs of the organizations and that is why they talk with us in a very rude manner.

Thus, it can be assessed that this is a sheer clash between the expectations between the two entities and that results in the low rate of retention of the employees in the workplace. In the previous financial year, a huge bunch of employees have left the workplace because of the untidy health and social care environment as well as the business environment at the same time frame. It is a very upset situation for the employees in the company and that needs a suitable solution for mitigating such issues and problems.
