Health in Australia

1. Introduction

Health is an important determinant in analysing the development of any nation. Healthy population engages in productive activities and thus keeps the economy of the nation rolling. The current study deals with the public health of Australia. Simultaneously, there would be an evaluation of the all the factors that affect the health of the different age groups. In addition, likewise, the different factor would be discussed in the study, which has led to the inequality in the health services that are availed by the people of Australia. Relevant information has been provided along with the suitable support from the existing literature. In the recent years, it has been noticed that the added population of Australia have been suffering the most with the cardiovascular diseases. The Australian government have been petrified with the growing rate of tobacco consumption and the impact on the health of the people especially the older ones.

2. Analysis of the impact

Social factors: As per the research of Newman et al., (2015) the social factors have a great impact on the health of the different population that lives in Australia. With the help of the Australian government, the nation has been able to help the people avail the medication services irrespective of the geographic disturbances. According to Delany et al., (2015) it has been widely accepted by most of the people as they can pay a visitor the local medical and avail all the medical facilities. Since there is the certain population who disdain from attending the medical centres, room service for them is made available by the government (Denton et al., 2017).

Xia et al., (2015) has mentioned the population can be very well developed as the older generation ranging from the age of late 50 and the younger generation below the age of 50 years. It has been noticed that the ........

Since there is the certain population who disdain from attending the medical centres, room service for them is made available by the government (Denton et al., 2017).

Xia et al., (2015) has mentioned the population can be very well developed as the older generation ranging from the age of late 50 and the younger generation below the age of 50 years. It has been noticed that there has been considerable growth in the death rate due to the heart diseases among the people above 62 years in Australia and have been a major threat to the national health of the nation. Socially, the developing economy of the nation has been helping the youth to live a life that has been balanced with good food and nutrition (Denton et al., 2017). The generation that has been found facing issues in the Australian heath care system are the ones who have faced bitter youths or have been victims of the Second World War that had taken place. Even, lacks proper education have been another factor that caused the huge contradictory impact of the health maintenance of the individuals.

Environmental factors: Chen et al., (2017) has mentioned that the physical and the natural environment have been one of the effective means through which the health can develop impact that has negative outcomes. With the development of the nation and the infrastructure, it has become quite easy to keep pace with the changing trends and make the best of the benefits gained. The much younger generation irrespective of the gender can educate themselves and make a conformable environment where they can keep and maintain good health with the help of all kinds of the facilities (Delany et al., 2015).

However, the older generation, who have been found to be dealing with the different heart diseases, is the victim of different poor environmental factors that they were only exposed to the toxic acids, bombing and others. Therefore, if the environment has not been well developed, it would have the negative impact on the health in the end. Critical stages in life have multiple exposures, which has a significant impact on the health of the individuals. The environmental factors are hugely influenced by the other factors, and therefore, there is a combined impact on the health of an individual (Fisher et al., 2015).

Behavioural factors: According to Rikkers et al., out of all the factors, the factor that has the deepest impact on the health of the individuals is the personal behaviour. This behaviour maintenance helps in putting up with the all the odd factors. Researchers give an example of the old people of Australia who have been diagnosed with mostly having heart issues and die for the same cause. The older adults have not been aware of the ill effects of the smoking and have been engaged in the same affair over a longer period. On the other hand, the younger generation, in the current time have been aware of the health constraints and abstained from smoking (Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, 2011).

This has helped them to maintain their health and when they reach the old age it would be able to keep them free of harmful diseases. Another behavioural pattern that has been identified is chronic stress that has been developed right from childhood. The younger generation has access to better resources, and therefore, they have decent income to keep them satisfied (Henderson et al., 2017). However, it has been noticed that the older adults, due to poor facilities in the past, had had the poor nutritional intake in the form of fruits and vegetables. Therefore, as per Fisher et al., (2015) they have been exposed to chronic diseases and were unable to develop immunity system within themselves. Therefore, stressed childhood and youth do not help in wellbeing in the older ages. This is that major causes that have been recorded as the cause of the ill health and cardiovascular issues in the older generations.

3. Analysis of population health outcomes

The national health of the Australian nation has shown growth with the development of the 20th century. However, with the beginning of the 21st century, it has been noticed that there have been growing inequalities in the services availed by the people of the nation. As per Chew et al., (2016) these inequalities have resulted in the somewhat negative health outcomes ion cases of the aged people in Australia. Older Australians have been facing issues with the health like that of heart diseases and cardiac associated problems. With the current situation, the older generation or population of the Australian nationality have been living with the great risk of hospitalisation along with different heart issues.

Approximately 51% of the Australians have been reported to be suffering from heart diseases and were between the age group of 64 to 76 years (Bagnall et al., 2016). However, there is another remarkable establishment that the heart-related diseases are quite common among the men and not among the women. The outcome that has been recorded is due to the certain factors that have made the old adults especially the male to suffer from cardiac diseases. On the other hand, in comparison to the adults, the youths are found to be in a safer position and would be safe while they attain the age group of 65 to 70 (Osborne et al., 2015).

(Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, 2015)

According to Wakefield et al., (2015) the main reason is that they have been able to avail all the facilities that are prepared by the government itself. The inequality has been growing less in the recent times. With the development of the infrastructure, it is easy for the current generation to gather information and educate themselves with all-round information. On the other hand, it was quite difficult for the older adults to combat as Australia at the very time was developing and trying to build all the resources from time to time. The major inequality was identified in the form of the monetary facilities. The current generation has been well educated to make money and avail all the facilities whereas, and the older generation was unable to make money (Edwards et al., 2015).

This is the reason; there was a social disparity in the people living. The standards were different in different regions, and thus, the economic forces functioned effectively. Politically, the rich had all the facilities, and with the war in the front, it would have been quite a difficult floor them to adjust to the changing scenario (Fisher et al., 2015). They have been living a stressful life where they could not adjust to the surroundings. They were addicted to tobacco and smoking and therefore, brought physical destruction in their lives. In the end, when they are old, they are suffering from chronic heart diseases and losing their lives for the same. The government have been trying hard to improve their lives, but they have affected their lives from the very young age (Delany et al., 2015). At the time of war and crisis, Even the government could not focus on the development of the health of the people. However, this is not the same at the current time. The main reason is that the nation has developed with the passing time and culturally integrated to look after the national health.

4. Conclusion

From the study, it can be concluded that the Australian government have been quite concerned with the health of the different population that they have been serving in the nation. The Australian health status has been very much affected by the outcome of the poorly health conscious people giving support to factors like tobacco consumption. In addition, there are different factors, which have reduced the number of visits to the pathologies and health care centres by many populations. On the other hand, it is obvious that with the inequalities identified in the health care, the nation has not been able to bridge the gap between the strong economic people and the economically weak people. The life expectancy of the male population has decreased than that of the female population. The government has made available the services for all; however, some of them are unable to tap the facilities.
